Strawberry Donut Focaccia

Ingredients

Enjoy time together as a family to make a delicious Strawberry Donut Focaccia with Bonne Maman More fruit, less sugar Strawberry Spread.

Preparation:

Step 1: In the evening, whisk the sourdough starter and water together in a large mixing bowl. Add flour and salt. Mix to combine to form a rough and shaggy dough. Cover and let rest for 45 minutes – 1 hour. Once the time is up, work the dough into a ball with your hands for about 30 seconds.

Step 2: Put dough back in bowl and cover overnight with wet towel. The dough will double in size.

Step 3: In the morning, pour 3-4 tbsp olive oil into a sheet pan or a rectangular glass baking dish. Add dough to pan and coat both sides with olive oil. Dimple dough with fingers and add remaining olive oil on top. Cover and let rest for 1-2 hours, until very puffy.

Step 4: Preheat oven to 425 F. Right before baking, dimple dough again with oiled fingertips. Add large dollops of Bonne Maman More fruit, less sugar Strawberry Spread and press into dough gently.

Step 5: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until crisp and golden brown. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack. Before serving, drizzle with icing (1 cup icing sugar mixed with a few tablespoons of warm water until you get the right consistency).
