For the cocktail:
- 2 ounces pineapple juice
- 2 ounces Bonne Maman® Pineapple and Passion Fruit Jam
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- 4 ounces tequila
- 1/2 ounce Triple Sec
- 2 ounces lime juice
To serve:
- 20 g sugar
- 4 g fine salt and 1 pinch of chili powder OR Tajin style seasoning
- 1 lime, sliced
- Crushed ice
- ½ jalapeño pepper, thinly sliced
Mix the sugar, salt and chili powder, then transfer to a small plate. Rim the glasses by sliding a wedge of lime around the edge, then dip in the mixture until well coated.
Combine pineapple juice, jam and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add tequila, lime juice, Triple Sec and thinly sliced jalapeño pepper. Fill with crushed ice and shake until well blended.
Fill ¾ of each glass with the mix by filtering the preparation. Add lime slices and crushed ice to top. Serve immediately.
Tip for a non-alcoholic version: Substitute tequila and Triple Sec with sparkling water.
