Ingredients
- 1 jar of Bonne Maman Strawberry Jam
- 2 pie doughs
- 1 egg yolk
- Confectioner's sugar
Preparation
- Roll the pie dough side to side and cut them into 8 rectangles of 10×7 cm.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut a heart in the middle of 4 rectangles and draw the envelope delicately with the back of a knife.
- Spread Bonne Maman strawberry jam on the 4 other rectangles and place one envelope rectangle on each jam filled rectangle.
- Using a fork, press the edges together. If necessary, cut the excess dough with a knife.
- With a pastry brush, brush the egg yolk on top of your love letters. Bake at 180°C (350°F) until golden brown (about 30 minutes).
- Let cool completely. Add some more strawberry jam in the hearts if necessary and sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar before serving.
