Ingredients
- 400g flour
- 17g fresh yeast
- 1 tsp of salt
- 40g brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 125g whole milk
- 75g butter (at room temperature)
- A few almonds
- 1 290 mL jar of Bonne Maman More fruit, less sugar Strawberry Spread

For the mixture:
Step 1:
Warm the whole milk and break up the yeast into it. It shouldn’t be too hot or too cold.
Step 2:
Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl: the flour, sugar and salt. Add the yeast, milk and eggs. Mix to form a ball of dough, then cut the butter at room temperature into cubes and add it to the dough.
Step 3:
Knead to form a very smooth dough.
Step 4:
Cover the bowl, and leave it to rest overnight in the refrigerator.
The day after preparing the dough:
Step 1:
Roll the dough out onto lightly floured greaseproof paper to make a rectangle of about 30×40 cm.
Step 2:
Spread the Bonne Maman Strawberry Intense over it leaving 2 cm around the edges.
Step 3:
Roll up the longest side of the dough and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, then cut the roll in two lengthwise.
Step 4:
Plait the dough then place it in a loaf tin lined with greaseproof paper.
Step 5:
Cover and leave to rise for about 1 hour. Pre-heat the oven 180° and bake it for 25 minutes.
Step 6:
When the Babka has come out of the oven, brush it with some agave syrup to make it shinier.
Bonne Maman Tip
For a faster resting time, the dough can be left to rest in a warm oven. For that, pre-heat the oven to 50°C maximum then turn it off and put the dough in it.
