    GENERAL CONDITIONS

    Participant

    1. Participant Identification. For the purposes of these Contest Rules, the participant is the person whose name appears on the entry form, and it is to this person that the prize will be awarded if they are selected and declared a winner.

    Personal information

    1. Authorization. All prize winners authorize the Contest Organizers and their representatives to use their name, photo, likeness, voice, place of residence and/or prize statement for publicity purposes if required, without any form of compensation.
    2. Personal Information. Personal information collected from participants in the course of the Contest will be used solely to administer the Contest, unless they have otherwise consented.

    Contest entry

    1. Verification. All contest entries and Declaration Forms are subject to verification by the Contest Organizers. Any contest entries or Declaration Form that are, as the case may be, incomplete, illegible, mutilated, fraudulent or submitted late, contain an invalid email address or telephone number or are otherwise non-compliant may be rejected by the Contest Organizers and will not entitle the participant to a Contest Entry or prize.
    2. Disqualification. The Contest Organizers reserve the right to disqualify a person, void one or more entries from a person, or seek legal redress, if they enter or attempt to enter the Contest by means that do not comply with the Contest Rules or that are unfair to other participants (for example, by exceeding the entry limit). Any attempt to sabotage the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of civil and criminal laws. In the event of any such attempt, the Contest Organizers reserve the right to disqualify the participant and seek legal redress.
    3. Changes to the Contest. The Contest Organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, in whole or in part, if any event or human intervention occurs that could alter or influence the administration, security, impartiality or operation of the Contest as provided for in these Contest Rules, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required.
    4. Termination of Participation in the Contest. If, for any reason, Contest Entry must be terminated in whole or in part prior to the closing date indicated in these Contest Rules, the Contest Organizers may, at their sole discretion, make a selection from among the entry forms duly collected and received up to the date of the event that terminated entry.

    Prizes

    1. Limit. In no event shall the Contest Organizers be required to award more prizes or award a prize other than those indicated in these Contest Rules.
    2. Acceptance. All prizes must be accepted as described in these Contest Rules and may not be transferred in whole or in part to another person, substituted for another prize or exchanged for cash, except as provided for in the following paragraph.
    3. Substitution. In the event that it would be impossible, difficult and/or more costly for the Contest Organizers to award a prize (or a portion thereof) as described in these Contest Rules, they reserve the right to substitute a similar prize (or a portion thereof) of equal value or, at their sole discretion, award the monetary value of the prize (or a portion thereof) as described in these Contest Rules.

    Limitation of liability

    1. Operation of the Contest. The Contest Organizers, any company, corporation, trust or other legal entity controlled by or related to them, their advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents and representatives (the “Beneficiaries”) shall not be held liable with respect to the malfunction of any computer component, software or communication line, the loss or lack of network communication or for any transmission that is faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible or erased by any computer or network and that may limit or prevent a participant’s ability to read these Contest Rules. The Beneficiaries shall also not be held liable for any damage or loss that may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any web page or software, or by the transmission of any information related to Contest Entry.
    2. Contest Entry. Any person who enters or attempts to enter the Contest releases the Beneficiaries from any and all liability for any damages they may incur as a result of entering or attempting to enter the Contest.
    3. Use and Acceptance of Prizes. All prize winners are solely responsible for their own actions and release all persons and/or legal entities from any and all liability for any damage and/or injury that may arise as a result of accepting and/or using the prize.
    4. Prize and Supplier Warranties. All prize winners acknowledge that the only warranty applicable to the prize is the standard warranty offered by the manufacturer, if applicable, and that, upon awarding of the prize, the obligations related thereto become the responsibility of the providers of the products and/or services that make up the prize.
    5. Contest Website Operation. The Contest Organizers in no way guarantee that access to the Contest Website, or any site related to it, will be uninterrupted during the Contest Period, or that no errors will be present.

    Decision and dispute

    1. Decision of the Contest Organizers. Any decision by the Contest Organizers or their representatives regarding this Contest is final and without appeal, subject to any decision by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, with respect to any matter within its jurisdiction.
    2. Dispute. For Quebec residents, any dispute regarding the conduct or organization of a promotional contest can be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for a ruling. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize can be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of attempting to reach a settlement.

    Varia

    1. Severability of Sections. If any section of these Contest Rules is declared or found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, unenforceable or invalid, then that section shall be deemed invalid, but all other unaffected sections shall be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law.
    2. Language. In the event of a discrepancy between the French and English versions of these Contest Rules, the French version shall prevail.

There isn’t really an equivalent to “La fête des bonnes mamans”… Using the term “good mother” wouldn’t resonate or build brand equity for Bonne Maman, which is why I’ve opted to keep this simple and straightforward. I think it’s more important to mention the brand in the contest name than try to be clever.

The numbering is off, starting here. This should be 16, not 18. All numbers that follow should be updated accordingly.
